The Owlett-Jaton Area Sales Manager for Devon and Cornwall visited a local merchant to discuss the benefits of working with Owlett-Jaton, review product ranges, and present our merchandising options.

It was agreed that they would go ahead with a complete merchandising solution for one of their branches as a trial. This was to replace existing stands and swap out another brand. Six metres of 2.2m high merchandising stands were selected, along with a studding FSDU and netting stand.

Working closely with the customer, a range of products was selected to best suit their customer base’s needs. A planogram was then created and shared with the customer to show where each product would be placed on the shelving in store. Products included a wide range of fasteners and fixings from Unifix, Vortex, Timberdrive, and JCP Fixings.

The merchandising team arrived at the store the day after the goods and stand components were delivered to ensure a successful installation.

The existing merchandising stands were emptied and removed, and the space was cleaned to make way for the new Owlett-Jaton stands, which were promptly assembled. A cleanse deal was organised for the existing products they had in stock. The stock and point of sale material were then placed onto the stands as per the planogram. Once complete, a walk-through with the customer ensured they were happy and that any questions were answered.

The following week, we revisited the store to ensure everything was running smoothly. We were pleased to receive positive feedback from both the customer and end-users, who said that the range was very good and that it was much easier to find products on the shelves. The new displays also helped to brighten the store. As with any Owlett-Jaton merchandising project, we will continue to monitor the installation and make any necessary amendments to ensure the correct range of products is stocked for the customer base.
